PORTLAND, ONTARIO - JAN 05, 2008 - Portland Outdoors is proud to
announce that Danielle Strickland of Portland has won the first ever
Skate the Lake poster design contest.
”Danielle captured everything we hoped to see and more. The design
has a fantastic colour scheme that jumps right at you. It is obvious
Danielle has a lot of talent,” said Vicki Stephenson who coordinated
the contest for Portland Outdoors.
Long time Skate the
Lake sponsor Smith Petrie Carr & Scott Insurance Brokers
Ltd donated a digital camera for Danielle to further her creative
skills.
”January 26, 2008 marks our fifth anniversary and we wanted to do
something special so we organized the poster contest. The result is
phenomenal,” Stephenson said.
All designs that were entered in the contest will be on display at
the Portland Community Centre on the day of the race. For next year,
Portland Outdoors is issuing a photo contest.
