PORTLAND OUTDOORS AND TIM-BR MART OF WESTPORT ANNOUNCE SPONSORSHIP DEAL

PORTLAND, ONTARIO - AUG 30, 2007 - Portland Outdoors is proud to announce a one-year sponsorship agreement with Tim-Br Mart of Westport.

"This is perfect timing. It is the beginning of the speed skating season and with all the preparations for the fifth International Big Rideau Lake Speed Skating Marathon already in full swing it could not have been a better time to get a new large sponsor such as Tim-Br Mart on board," said Marco Smits, President of Portland Outdoors.

Paul Herlehy, owner of Tim-Br Mart, took over the Westport lumber and building materials supply store at the beginning of this year [2007]. Already a speed skating enthusiast and participant, sponsoring an international marathon seemed like a natural fit.

"I have been a fan of the speed skating races in Portland from day one, so I could not think of a better event to put my sponsorship behind," Herlehy said.
