TEAM RELAY RETURNS After a tremendous success last year the
5X1K Team Relay Race returns. Five skaters in a team each skate
one lap. The first team to complete five laps wins. One new rule
this year, there are two divisions. "Hockey skates only" vs. "Speed
skates". If a team has one or more skater on long blades that team
automatically becomes a speed skating team. Also, teams HAVE TO
HAVE 5 skaters. No more, no less.

PRIZES ON RACEDAY Once again, Portland Outdoors is offering

the 175th Anniversary of the historic Rideau Canal system. Then,
on Feb. 10 and 11 there will be the first Rideau Lakes Cup Sled
Dog Race Weekend in Newboro, and on top of that all, 2007 is the
