The Portland Football Club’s U11 boys team played Napanee at Kin Park in Portland on Thursday. Gabe Leggett took a corner kick that was picked up by Braiden Wing who scored the only goal for PFC.

The Portland boys lost 2-1 in a hard fought battle with the visitors.

This Thursday the U11 boys will travel to Belleville for their third game of the season.

The PFC U13 boys remain unbeaten. With goals by Jessie Harris and Nathan Rodgers (2), PFC managed to tie Napanee last week. This week, the team of coach Craig Lapierre will defend their unbeaten status against the Cataraqui Clippers.

Aleisha Carty and Emilia Carson scored as the PFC U11 girls tied Kingston United in their second match of the season.

The tie was a great confidence booster for the team of coach Anders Carson after suffering a defeat in their opening game. This week, the U11 girls play Belleville.

The PFC U14 girls were also in action last week, tying the Cataraqui Clippers 1-1. The PFC goal was scored by Michaela Halladay.
