Hunter Lapierre made his debut in the Super Y-League (SYL) with a win on the weekend.

Lapierre, a former Portland Football Club talent, plays for the Ottawa Fury U13 boys. The Fury beat their opponents, Black Watch SC 7-0 at home on Sunday.
Lapierre, who plays left defence, returned from France last week as he was selected to play in the prestigious Mondial Pupilles de Plomelin tournament.
However, minutes into the first game, he injured his wrist.

Sporting a cast on his left arm for the rest of the week, the Portland player soaked up the energy from the sidelines while assisting his teammates wherever else he could.

The cast has since been removed, and Lapierre has resumed practicing in Ottawa twice a week, and travelling all across the eastern parts of North America to play soccer at the highest level.

In France, the Ottawa Fury finished the tournament in 44th place, the highest position ever accomplished by a Canadian team there.

Hunter Lapierre of Portland made his soccer debut in the Super Y-League (SYL) New England U13 division on Sunday. Lapierre, featured above in a tournament in Massachusetts last month, plays for the Ottawa Fury. He just returned from a prestigious youth tournament in France.
