The second game of the season between Belleville and the Portland
Football Club (PFC) was cancelled on Wednesday June 12.
Officials from Belleville reported that too much rain had made the
field unplayable. The match has been rescheduled for August 13 so
that PFC will play two games that week.
Today, Thursday July 20, PFC will face the league leaders Quinte West
at home at Kin Park on Harlem Road. When the two met earlier in the
season Quinte West won 9-0.
"We are going to improve on that, we wonÕt let that happen again.
When we lost that game 9-0 that was our first wake up call in this
league. We have been playing better ever since," said Anders Carson
the team coach.
"I think it will be closer than they think it will be," said Carson,
adding that the Kin Park John Evans soccer field is much bigger than
the pitch at Quite West, which will also work in the favour of PFC.
TodayÕs game starts at 6:30 p.m.
